There's no need to ship your bouquet if you're in the Edmonton and surrounding area. My hours are flexible to accomadate trips from out of town.
I use plexiglass for the frames that are shipped for a number of reasons. Many frames have arrived cracked or broken while being handled in the mail (shipping carriers do not always treat our fragile frames like they should). This ruins the flowers and I want to keep your special flowers as safe as possible! Plexiglass is considered shatterproof and will guarantee that it makes it to you safely. Plexiglass is much lighter than regular glass and is less expensive to ship.
How To:
Keep your bouquet in water until you get ready to send it (**SHIP WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EVENT**)
You will need a container a little larger than the bouquet.
For Flowers/Bouquets in green oasis (foam) just be sure they have some water onto the foam then shake off the excess. The flowers do not need to be sitting in a pool of water.
For Flowers/Bouquets that are hand tied with the exposed stems, a wet paper towel will be the source of moisture. Wrap a plastic bag around the stems and use an elastic band to secure it in place. Do not do anything to the heads. Keep them in the open and breathing.
Line your box/container with newspaper. Fill the rest of the box with crumpled paper or Styrofoam chips or crumpled plastic grocery bags so the flowers don’t move around.
Please be sure that your name, address, email and phone number is included in the box.
You’re good to go. Seal the box. Take it to UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and tell them that you need to expedite/ overnight shipping.
Destination Wedding:
Send them home with whoever comes home first. Alternatively, have the hotel put your bouquet in a fridge until you’re ready to come home.
