The Valley Zoo Development Society
The City’s Wildest Art Gallery On Thursday, September 13th, 2008, Edmonton’s Valley Zoo Development Society presented “Art in the Wild“.
It was a great success! That evening, the zoo became the city’s wildest art gallery with local and international artists displaying and selling their works.
In addition to works of art from 20+ artists, Lucy the Zoo’s Asian elephant demonstrated her love for art by creating a unique canvas with local artist Tim Rechner.
All artists generously donated 25% of all sales to help the Valley Zoo Development Society raise funds for Nature’s Wild Backyard.
Hosted by the Valley Zoo Development Society and the Edmonton Valley Zoo, the evening included
- some nose-to-nose encounters with some of the animals at the Zoo
- chats with knowledgeable interpretive staff,
- complimentary appetizers and desserts,
- plus a cash wine and beer bar.
